Head of IT Workplace
For our client we are looking for an experienced Head of IT Workplace who will lead the IT workplace domain - is responsible for all IT end-user hardware, AD / EntraID, client builds, all collaboration software (M365), all miscellaneous software, software packaging / distribution, providing end-user enablement material and 3rd and 4th level support to the IT Service Support organisation. Job description
The tasks of the Head of IT Workplace are:
- to create an end-user IT workplace environment that is state of the art and constantly kept up-to-date for all users worldwide in an efficient manner,
- focus shall always be kept on using a lean standardised portfolio of hard and software focusing on maximizing the end-user efficiency,
- further the value of stability of solutions and active end-user enablement shall be a top focus.
- for knowing the market trends and best practices in the IT Workplace area,
- reconciling the business requirements with the customers,
- designing and maintaining the related tools and processes, and ensuring continuous improvement of the same,
- to support the Head of IT Service Support to organize the IT service and support for the IT Workplace services,
- together with the Head of IT Service & Support is to assure that all users are enabled to work to maximum efficiency with their IT workplace,
- to provide the appropriate methodology and knowledge assets to be brought to the end users by the colleagues of the IT domain Service & Support,
- to fulfil the information security requirements of the domain OneIT Security, proactively work with securing the IT workplace asserts and will have a key role in the case of IT security incidents.
Requirements for the employee
- 5+ years of senior leadership in IT Workplace role.
- Proven experience in global Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments.
- Track record with proven experience on the technical and management of:
- Microsoft 365 tenant harmonization & migrations
- Entra ID harmonization & migrations
- Endpoint harmonization & migrations
- Strong people skills focused on developing colleagues into senior workplace roles and improving their efficiency in supporting users.
- Understanding of business value created by IT, specifically in the area of IT workplace.
- Experience in private equity-backed environments or M&A IT integrations.
- Certifications (or experience covering these areas):
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator (MD-102)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-100 + MS-101)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect
- ITIL® 4 Foundation or Intermediate
- Strategic thinking.

- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong results delivery mindset.
- Very good English language skills
