Purchasing Specialist

Our client designs and develops new components in terms of environmental and economic requirements, is the global supplier for major automakers and component manufacturers.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards:  from 1.600,- € gross salary (depend on experiences of suitable candidate)

Actually we are looking for an open minded & critical minded canditate with strong negotiation skills in the purchase field. Job description, responsibilities and duties:

– Purchasing Specialist is responsible for purchasing activities connected to new projects,

– he respects Global Commodity Purchasing Managers strategies,

– he elaborates summaries about suppliers price offers for sourcing decisions to be made on total cost basis,

– supports local project teams from purchasing perspective throughout the Group,

– secures the objectives for new business award,

– elaborates analysies about supplier trends for negotiation meetings with suppliers,

– establish initial part prices under direction from commodity purchasing,

– prepares a draft of sourcing agreement (including all technical, commercial and quality requirements) and submits for commodity manager approval,

– manage engineering change process from a timing and cost point of view,

– manage all aspects of supplier performances in the program cycle for Prototype parts, Preproduction parts, Vendor Tooling development and trial runs,

– provides Program Purchasing Management Coordinator with regular new project updates on project activity, final sourcing decisions, pricing and price changes, vendor tool progress and completion, open Issues or Program Problems,

– reports supplier performance to purchasing and project management,

– manages and follows purchase orders issued to chosen suppliers,

– coordinates and communicates purchased component details to manufacturing plant.

Personality requirements and skills

– university degree – Technical,

– at least 2 years experience at the similar position,

– English – Upper intermediate (B2),

– Strong Communication skills,

– ISO TS 16949 knowledge,

– Purchasing skills expertise: TCO, cost breakdowns,

– Legal & technical sensibility,

– Negotiation expertise.
