Operational Manager for small factory

Job description responsibilities and duties

• Efficient running of the factory ensuring that all machines are running at optimum output whilst maintaining required product quality and minimum waste.
• Identify and put in place training programmes to improve skill of personnel.
• Ensuring quality, technical and hygiene standards are enforced.
• Maintenance of all the production equipment for health and safety requirements plus optimum performance.
• Dealing with customer quality complaints, to analyse fault and create an action plan to ensure the problem does not occur in the future.
• Management of operational staff including appraisals, disciplinary issues and recruitment.
• Budgetary control of operational spend
• Working in tandem with the Finance/Administration Manager but direct report to the UK factory Manager

Requirements for the employee

• Communication in perfect English.
• Ability and willingness to get involved in work at all required levels.
• Proven experience gained working in a senior operations position at a manufacturing company.
• Self motivator, able to manage own workload and be pro-active.
• Strong communication skills.
• Organised and practical with a methodical approach to problem solving.
• Management experience, a self- starting sole leader and motivator of a local operations team.
